The adjustable windshield can be tailored according to your requirements against the elements in any given riding condition. At the same time, a selection of saddle heights ensures you get the most comfortable riding position available. When you’re in the mood to go far and beyond, the available top box and pannier bags provide robust storage that you can take for miles on end. BMW Motorrad Connectivity on the standard 6.5-in. TFT screen directly integrates your smartphone for communications, entertainment, and navigation, while a 12-volt socket keeps your device always juiced up. The secret to the F 900 XR’s movement lies within its bridge-type steel shell frame, where a 895 cc two-cylinder water-cooled 4-stroke power unit with dual overhead camshafts unleashes 99 hp and 68 lb.-ft of torque handily. All that goes to the rear wheel via an endless O-ring chain actuated by a multi-disc wet plate clutch and six forward gears. Accompanying the standard upside-down telescopic front fork and cast aluminum rear dual swing arm suspension is BMW Motorrad’s Dynamic ESA, which lets you adapt suspension settings as you go. Serious stopping power comes from BMW Motorrad anti-lock brakes acting on the dual front disc and single rear disc brakes.
